Juliet Moses and Ruth Beaven create a to-do list for superannuation schemes
Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013: Juliet Moses and Ruth Beaven have prepared a "to do list" for superannuation schemes
The Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 was enacted on 1 September 2013. The Act aims to increase investor protection as well as encouraging the development of New Zealand’s financial markets.
The investor protection focus means that superannuation schemes will need to comply with requirements that are more prescriptive and onerous than currently experienced. As a result of these requirements, schemes will need to change their governing documents, internal processes and potentially their governance.
